Hi! I’m Melissa Hendricks, from Muskegon, Michigan. I love exploring all styles of face painting, body art, and henna application. Most of my work is done at festivals and public events. I love to figure out faster ways to accomplish those “WOW Factor” designs that please our customers and keep them coming back. These tricks include a love for homemade rainbow cakes, one-stroke designs and use of specialty brushes. I am super excited for my teaching debut at St. Louis FPBA, 2018, as this will be my fourth consecutive year attending this amazing, creative event!
I have dabbled in art my whole life. It wasn’t until I was introduced to face painting in 2010 that I fell in love with a specific art form. You know the feeling… of seeing that face look into the mirror… that magic moment when someone is transformed into their secret desire. That moment when your canvas moves and your art comes alive! This is what we live for! Over the past 8 years, I’ve learned from the best, made valuable mistakes, and discovered a few tricks along the way. I love to teach and I can’t wait to share with all of you.
Melissa owns Cheek to Cheek Art in west Michigan.
