Lacey Bailey

Daydreamer Face & Body Art is owned and operated by Lacey Bailey. Lacey has been involved with make-up and special effects since the age of twelve, when she would surprise her parents by horribly “disfiguring” her little brother. She then moved on to theatre make-up and moulage for EMS training purposes. After many successful endeavors, such as starting her own theatre company in Keflavik Iceland and working as a production assistant for Pegasus Films, Lacey decided to leave the comforts of weekly paychecks and health insurance behind to start the always exciting and mostly terrifying career of a professional artist. Shortly after being introduced to body art by fellow artist Dawn Dewitt, Lacey started Daydreamer Face & Body Art, LLC in 2005. Since then Lacey has painted thousands of happy children’s faces at fairs and festivals around the country as well as full body models for companies and events such as Red Bull, Budweiser, Nascar, Sturgis and Laconia Motorcycle Rallies, and Fantasy Fest. Lacey teaches an assortment of art classes for the Derby Recreation Center in Derby, KS as well as body art and Special FX at conventions around the country such as The East Coast Face Painting and Body Art Convention, Face Paint University, and West Coast and Midwest Haunters Conventions. Lacey teaches private workshops on Special FX and Stage Makeup as well as Build-A-Face® and Build-A-Body® workshops with business partner Dawn Dewitt. Lacey loves her career and can’t imagine doing anything else
